Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so that you can celebrate with us.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code is black tie optional. Since the ceremony will take place on the lawn, you may find flats or block heels to be more practical. For black-tie attire, consider elegant options like a floor-length gown, a chic cocktail dress, or a tailored suit with a tie or bow tie. Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location?
Yes! Our ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn, followed by the reception inside the main ballroom. Should it rain, the ceremony will be moved inside. To move between the ceremony and reception, you can use the stairs or opt for the elevator for added convenience.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
There is a large parking lot in front of the venue and yes, parking is free.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
One of the things we love (and sometimes hate) about Michigan is it's unpredictable weather. On average, you can expect mid to high 70's during the day and mid to low 50's at night in the month of September. Nevertheless, prepare yourself with an extra layer and an umbrella in your car should there be inclement weather.
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed! However, we understand life happens and we look forward to seeing you in the near future. If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so we can plan accordingly.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving around 15-30 minutes before the ceremony starts so that everyone can be situated.
Will food and drinks be served at the reception?
Absolutely. We will have a cocktail hour in between the ceremony and the reception with four different hors d'oeuvres. Following that, there will be a full dinner and cake.
